Boost gets cleared after using a non-attack spell.
By GinjaaNinjaa#7459 May 12, 2015, 05:54:39If I do something like use a pyro-boost then self-buff kitty using her own spell the pyro boost gets cleared. So instead I must buff kitty first "then" use the boost.
While technically this may not be a bug since the boost is suppose to apply to the next spell cast, it feels out of place to the spirit of the game. We all know I don't want to apply the boost to her ardent-mutiation because for one it does no damage as a spell and two it is not a pyro spell. But the game logic appears to be too ridged to know the difference, that or it's a bug.

I understand the "spirit of the game" concept you mean, and if we were just playing a friendly game, I'd let it go through, I'd berate you for doing it wrong, but I'd let it go through, but not during an official match, which is why the online game shouldn't have to allow that either.
Timing is something that is going to become important in this game, I feel, with abilities and attacks from those existing, and those yet seen.
The complexity of the game is going up with each new release from my perspective. I know it has turned off several potential players I showed the game to, although I tend to think that if you like the figures you will probably like the game to some degree.
But online the code is the code and it doesn't really have a way to be logical about this scenario. Like I said "spirit of the game" still felt like a bug. Perhaps its not, but Ankama isn't exactly hard and fast on the rules given they have omitted the core starting rules so this isn't really out of the question.
